New Slains Castle, a ruined mansion of 1597 by the Earl of Erroll on the cliffs north of Cruden Bay. It is famous as possible inspiration for Dracula, Bram Stoker used to holiday at Cruden Bay. There are plans to redevelop it as holiday homes.
