Merchant Square, Merchant City, Glasgow, Scotland, UK. The Merchant Square was originally a warehouse used by the tobacco barons in the 18th century. It then was converted to be the fruit, vegetable and cheese market in Glasgow’s merchant city, the old town in the city centre. It is now the desirable area to be with wine bars, restaurants and boutiques.
