Burns Cottage, Alloway, South Ayrshire, Strathclyde, Scotland. Burns was born in this building on 25 January 1759. A plain two-room clay and thatch cottage built by Burns’ father, William Burness, in 1757. Now part of Burns National Heritage Park.
