The former Post Office and Forge, Fringford, Oxfordshire. Flora Thompson (1876-1947), born Flora Timms, worked here as a young woman. She later wrote her slightly fictionalised autobiography ‘Lark Rise to Candleford’, calling the village Candleford Green
