A 1989 photograph of the pedestrian (and cyclist) footway on the lower deck of the High Level Bridge, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, built by Robert Stephenson in 1849 - but extensively renovated 2005-8 (The bridge carries the railway on top with the road and walkways below)
