Macclesfield Bridge over Regent’s Canal into Regent’s Park, London, near the Zoo. Called ‘Blow Up Bridge’ after a boat carrying gunpowder exploded beneath it in 1874, it was rebuilt and is still busy with traffic. (TH Shepherd, 1827)
